How it works

Four pages, one download

  1. The doljabi board sign. Your baby's name in English and Hangul, the date, and every item with the future it stands for.
  2. A host card. Lines to read aloud so guests who have never seen a doljanchi know what is happening.
  3. Guest ballot slips. Six to a sheet, with a checkbox for every item you chose. Print one sheet per six guests.
  4. Item labels. One square per item for the jars that collect the guesses.

Every page is built from the same details, so the items on the sign, the ballots, and the labels can never drift apart. What you see on this page is drawn from the same layout the printer gets, so the preview is the product. The PDF is generated in this tab and nothing is uploaded.

Is this free?

Yes. This version has no payment and no account.

Is my family's information stored?

No. The names stay in this browser tab and are never sent anywhere. Only anonymous usage events and feedback are recorded.

Our family uses different items or meanings.

That is normal. The item set has grown well past thread, brush, money, and rice, and families disagree on the meanings. Every item name and meaning here is editable text.

Can I use a name with accents or Hangul?

Write the Latin name in the first field; accented letters are printed with their plain form. The Korean name is drawn separately from a bitmap of the Galmuri typeface, so it prints as Hangul without loading any font on your machine.

What do I print it on?

The board sign prints on one sheet and enlarges cleanly at a copy shop. Ballot slips and labels have dashed cut lines and are meant for plain paper or sticker sheets.

Privacy

We record anonymous interaction events, a random browser session identifier, referral source, device category, and feedback. We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, or the text entered into the tool.
